Two excursions in one, animals and coffee tour!
Two favorites during one day, we put together two of our most popular tours in to one. Namely combining the Palo Verde national park excursion with our visit to a genuine coffee roaster.
Do you want to see wild crocdiles just 10 feet away? Then join us for an amazing day on the Tempisque river! We will cruise the river of Tempisque in the national park of Palo Verde. We will have many great opportunities to see impressive wildlife. During the dry season the Tempisque river is the most important source of fresh water for the animals in the area. This brings out all the animals of the national park and we get to see them all from front row. This is the natural habitat for thousands of species of plants and animals. The boat trips lasts for about 2.5 hours and while sitting comfortably listening to the guide we get the chance to see 20 feet long crocodiles, iguanas, monkeys, a wide selection of birds and much more. The Palo Verde national park is paradise for bird-watchers as there are more than 300 different species of waterfowl. Keep your cameras ready!
After lunch we go visit the ecological coffee rostery that is managed as a cooperative. We get a very interesting guided tour where we get to follow the coffee beans journey from bean all the way in to toasted coffee in your cup to enjoy. The whole production is ecological and the people working here work very hard to maintain top quality coffee. You get to see all the hard work behind the scenes to produce our so beloved coffee. The tour ends with a great tasting of the locally produced coffee.
